About the Role

As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and contributing to our advisory growth. You'll work closely with senior leaders to deliver strategic insights and technical excellence across complex tax and accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor senior and graduate accountants
  • Prepare complex financial statements and income tax returns for high-value client groups
  • Provide technical advice across GST, CGT, FBT, Division 7A and other tax areas
  • Deliver strategic tax planning and business advisory services to clients
  • Review and provide feedback on work prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage team workflows and deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
  • Conduct client meetings to discuss financial performance, compliance, and strategic opportunities

About You

You're a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take the next step in your career. You enjoy mentoring others, working closely with clients, and thinking strategically.

You'll bring:

  • CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years in business services, tax or advisory
  • Strong technical knowledge in tax legislation and compliance
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow management
