POSITION -

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator / Aluminium Welder Fabricator to join our highly skilled team at Howarth's Sheet Metal Fabrications Pty Ltd.

This fulltime position is based at our workshop in Clontarf, on the Northside of Brisbane.

You will play a vital role in the production and assembly of high quality fabricated metal products for our diverse range of commercial and industrial clients.

Successful applicants will be required to attend an ON-SITE interview at our Workshop

QUALIFICATIONS -

• Fabrication Trade - Certificate III in Engineering - Favourable consideration to 2nd Class Welder
• Proficient in both MIG and TIG welding
• Excellent Fabrication and Welding skills - Aluminium - Stainless - Mild Steel
• Ability to Interpret Drawings and Specifications
• Proven history in a similar role within a Manufacturing / Fabrication environment
• Knowledge of Metal Fabrication processes including Cutting, Bending, Forming and Fitting
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Ability to work with Minimum Supervision with an Eye for Detail and Commitment to High Quality
• Ability to work both Independently and as Part of a Team
• Have a Strong Work Ethic, be Honest and Reliable and Adhere to 'Safe Work Practices' related to the Workshop/s
• Current Australian Forklift Licence an advantage
• Must have Australian Work Rights with No Restrictions

TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES -

• Interpret Drawings & Specifications
• Welding and Fabrication of Various Works - Aluminiuum - Stainless - Mild Steel
• Operate welding Equipment using MIG & TIG techniques
• Custom Manufacturing
• Polishing / Sanding / Cleaning of assembled Products
• Assembly of Final Products
• Ensuring Quality of Products
