Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Backend Engineer
with deep expertise in
Go
to join the team. In this role, you will be designing, building, and optimizing critical backend infrastructure for financial applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will have experience in market-making systems, matching engines, or high-throughput financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Go.
  • Build low-latency matching engines and order execution systems.
  • Develop market, margin, and risk engines to manage trade viability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and product to deliver robust solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years using Go in production environments.
  • Proven experience in fintech, trading platforms, or payment systems.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and microservices architecture.
  • Expertise in designing and optimizing RESTful and WebSocket APIs.
  • Proficiency with SQL/Redis databases and message queues (e.g., NATS or Aeron).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and containerization with Docker.
  • Solid understanding of financial system security and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with market-making, matching engines, or high-frequency trading systems.
  • Familiarity with financial protocols (e.g., FIX) or cryptocurrency exchange systems.
  • Experience with low-latency system design and performance optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or strong GitHub portfolio.
