Senior Backend .NET Engineer – Contract Major Retail Organisation | Sydney CBD | $950 + GST per day | 6-Month Engagement (Potential Extension)

We are working with a leading Australian retail business on a high-profile Greenfield project. This role offers the chance to build a national coupon platform that will be rolled out across the country.

You'll be the sole backend .NET engineer on the project, taking ownership of design, build, and delivery of a scalable enterprise solution.

What's on Offer

  • Day Rate: $950 + GST per day
  • Contract Length: 6 months (opportunity for extension)
  • Location: Sydney CBD (hybrid model – 2 days in office, 3 days WFH)
  • Project: Greenfield build of a national coupon platform for a major retailer

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a scalable backend platform
  • Collaborate with testers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Take full ownership as the primary .NET resource on the project
  • Ensure solutions are robust, secure, and ready for enterprise-wide rollout

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong commercial experience with .NET (C#)
  • Expertise in Azure cloud services
  • Event Hub (required)
  • MongoDB (preferred)
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-level scalable solutions
  • Experience leading projects or working as the primary technical resource
