Senior Backend .NET Engineer – Contract Major Retail Organisation | Sydney CBD | $950 + GST per day | 6-Month Engagement (Potential Extension)
We are working with a leading Australian retail business on a high-profile Greenfield project. This role offers the chance to build a national coupon platform that will be rolled out across the country.
You'll be the sole backend .NET engineer on the project, taking ownership of design, build, and delivery of a scalable enterprise solution.
What's on Offer
- Day Rate: $950 + GST per day
- Contract Length: 6 months (opportunity for extension)
- Location: Sydney CBD (hybrid model – 2 days in office, 3 days WFH)
- Project: Greenfield build of a national coupon platform for a major retailer
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a scalable backend platform
- Collaborate with testers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Take full ownership as the primary .NET resource on the project
- Ensure solutions are robust, secure, and ready for enterprise-wide rollout
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong commercial experience with .NET (C#)
- Expertise in Azure cloud services
- Event Hub (required)
- MongoDB (preferred)
- Proven track record delivering enterprise-level scalable solutions
- Experience leading projects or working as the primary technical resource
