The Position
As the Investment Manager, Funds Management, you will provide key support to the EGM Funds Management to manage the existing build-to-rent funds. This will include managing the funding position and reporting requirements for the existing funds as well as providing additional support for new build-to-rent transactions and new fund offerings from GQ. A key component of this role will be taking responsibility for the management of the debt finance across the portfolio, in particular for the operating assets.
You will be responsible for working with the property management team on asset management initiatives across the build to rent (BTR) portfolio and driving the fund's review of property level reporting and forecasts. Collaboration with the development manager on developments in progress and new investment propositions will also be an important component of the role. Support for the reporting and management of the current build-to-rent joint venture with Qualitas will round out the role responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Fund reporting for capital partners, including quarterly updates, asset plans, business plans and budgets.
- Oversee and enhance the Fund financial model across development and operating assets.
- Review and assess project feasibilities, ensuring alignment with investment mandates and return targets.
- Prepare materials to support JV activities, including board papers, business plans and budgets.
- Develop analysis and documentation for new asset and fund initiatives such as research, models, investor presentations, term sheets and IC papers.
- Manage RFI processes with capital partners across existing and new investment opportunities.
- Oversee valuations for equity, debt and acquisition purposes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and transparency in analysis and reporting.
- Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including Qualitas, financiers and capital partners.
- Review feasibility assessments for build-to-rent assets.
- Mentor and support analysts in delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting.
The Successful Candidate
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years professional experience in financial analysis with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Advanced real estate financial analysis background (residential BTR/BTS a distinct advantage).
- Advanced Excel modelling skills and data analysis.
- Experience with managing real estate valuations.
- Development knowledge beneficial.
- Ability to convey detailed information into key messages for senior internal and external audiences.
- Collaborative in a small team to work across multi disciplines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
