As our Associate Director, Taxation, you'll play a pivotal role leading Zip's Australian tax compliance, governance and reporting. Partnering closely with our Senior Director of Taxation, you'll deliver accurate, compliant outcomes that reflect Zip's commitment to transparency, accountability and excellence. You'll also contribute to global collaboration, supporting overseas compliance and advisory activities while enhancing systems, processes and automation to improve the way we operate.
What you'll own- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of ANZ tax compliance and reporting, including consolidated income tax returns, disclosures and statutory reporting
- Manage tax effect accounting and support ASX reporting requirements, ensuring governance processes are best-in-class
- Act as a trusted advisor to Finance, Audit and senior stakeholders, providing practical tax advice across corporate, employment and indirect taxes
- Maintain and enhance documentation, compliance registers and risk management frameworks
- Partner with external advisors and auditors to deliver high-quality insights, lead process improvements and strengthen Zip's tax governance culture
- Extensive taxation experience within large corporate or professional services environments, ideally 15+ years post-graduate.
- CA or CPA qualification, with deep knowledge of Australian corporate tax law, consolidations and ASX reporting standards.
- Proven experience in tax effect accounting, governance frameworks and managing advisor relationships.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to balance strategic oversight and hands-on delivery
- Self-motivated, organised and adaptable, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
- A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
