About the role

The Outback Bakery, an award-winning, leading local bakery in Fannie Bay NT 0820, is seeking an experienced Baker/Pastry Chef to join our passionate team. This is a full-time position responsible for crafting delicious breads, pies, pastries and other baked goods to delight our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of breads, pastries, cakes and other baked goods to exceptional standards
  • Ensure all products adhere to recipes and consistently meet quality and presentation requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all health and safety procedures
  • Mentor and train junior team members

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in baking or pastry arts, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality baked goods to exacting standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Passion for baking and a commitment to creating delicious, innovative products
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
