We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our team to oversee the activities at Council's Mangoplah & Uranquinty Rural Transfer Centre. If you enjoy working outdoors, are physically fit and have an interest in waste and recycling, then this is the role for you

  • Permanent, part-time position (10.5 per week).
  • Mangoplah - Sunday: 9.00am – 12.00pm (3 hours per week).
  • Uranquinty - Wednesday: 8.00am – 11.45am & Sunday: 1.00pm – 4.45pm (7.5 hours per week).
  • Remuneration of $602.47 gross per fortnight based on part-time hours of work + superannuation (12%).
  • Penalty rates applicable for hours worked on weekends.
  • Location: Mangoplah, 211 Holbrook Road & Uranquinty, 180 Connorton Street.

Your New Role
As the Rural Landfill Attendant (Mangoplah & Uranquinty) you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the disposal of domestic waste;
  • Inspecting loads to ensure compliance with disposal policies;
  • Processing payments and charges for waste disposal activities; and
  • Site safety and security.

What You Will Need To Succeed
We are looking for someone with:

  • Great communication and customer service skills;
  • An ability to work independently;
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence; and
  • Construction Induction Certificate (White) (desired not essential).

In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, the successful applicant is required to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus and will be asked to provide evidence of this.
