About Us

Inhouse Granny Flats is a growing Sydney-based construction company specialising in the design and build of granny flats, renovations, and residential projects. As we expand across NSW, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Operator to take ownership of excavation and site operations.

Role Overview

The Site Operator will be responsible for operating our excavator and managing site excavations, as well as acting as the main point of contact between the site and the Construction Manager. This role requires a high level of independence, responsibility, and prior hands-on site experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate company excavator and perform site excavation works to required specifications.
  • Plan, schedule, and organise slab dates and excavation dates in line with project timelines.
  • Act as the primary site communicator, providing updates to the Construction Manager.
  • Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Assist in coordinating trades and deliveries as required.
  • Maintain a clean, compliant, and safe worksite in accordance with WHS requirements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a site operator or in a similar excavation/construction role.
  • Competency in operating excavators and other earthmoving equipment.
  • Strong understanding of site preparation, excavation, and slab works.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • White Card and relevant tickets/licences required.
