We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Practice Coordinator to join our team in Geelong. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the practice, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and support to the administrative and clinical staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and staff rosters to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure the accurate use of the Best Practice software system for appointments, billing, and medical records.
  • Liaise with patients, staff, and healthcare providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor and manage practice compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Assist in financial tasks, including invoicing, Medicare billing, and reconciling accounts.
  • Coordinate staff training and development to maintain a high level of competence and professionalism.
  • Handle patient inquiries and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and patient satisfaction.
  • Support the management team in implementing practice goals and strategies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in a healthcare or general practice environment.
  • Proficiency in using the Best Practice software system.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of Medicare billing and general practice operations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Practice Coordinator or Practice Manager.
  • Understanding of compliance and accreditation requirements in general practice.
  • Familiarity with other practice management software and tools.
