About the Role

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator with a strong background in IT operations and Managed Services environments. You will be responsible for managing and supporting our clients' systems—including Microsoft 365 environments, servers, and networking devices (switches, Fortinet firewalls)—while working closely with CyberNIQ.

This role also involves managing Active Directory and Entra ID, overseeing backups, and ensuring endpoint security with Microsoft Defender. Future projects include Intune deployment and cybersecurity uplift initiatives to strengthen client environments.


Key Responsibilities


•⁠ ⁠Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)


•⁠ ⁠Manage Active Directory and Entra ID for identity and access control


•⁠ ⁠Configure and maintain networking devices, including switches and Fortinet firewalls


•⁠ ⁠Support Windows Server environments and virtualisation platforms


•⁠ ⁠Oversee backup and recovery processes (e.g., Veeam)


•⁠ ⁠Monitor and maintain endpoint security using Microsoft Defender


•⁠ ⁠Work closely with CyberNIQ and client stakeholders to ensure SLA compliance and timely resolution of incidents


•⁠ ⁠Assist with IT projects such as OS upgrades, security hardening, and cloud initiatives


•⁠ ⁠Prepare for Intune deployment and cybersecurity uplift as part of the future roadmap


What We're Looking For


•⁠ ⁠3+ years experience in a System Administrator or similar role


•⁠ ⁠Previous experience working with or for a Managed Services Provider (MSP)


•⁠ ⁠Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and networking fundamentals


•⁠ ⁠Experience managing switches, Fortinet firewalls, and network configurations


•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V) and backup solutions


•⁠ ⁠Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills


•⁠ ⁠Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently


Good to have:


•⁠ ⁠Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (highly regarded)


•⁠ ⁠Relevant certifications are a plus:

- Microsoft Certified: MD-102, MS-102

- Azure Administrator (AZ-104)

- Security certifications (SC-200, SC-400)
