Are you passionate about using data to drive meaningful change in aged care? Churches of Christ is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that support our mission of providing compassionate, client-focused care.

Your Impact

As a key member of our data and integration team, you'll:

  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration across clinical, financial, and care platforms.
  • Develop and support ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks and Azure Data Services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose data solutions that enhance aged care operations and reporting.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with privacy legislation.
  • Support data modelling for analytics, reporting, and machine learning applications.
  • Optimise data storage and compute performance across platforms.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in software development and integration practices.
What You'll Bring

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in software development and data integration.
  • Proficiency in Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, and modern data stack technologies.
  • Strong skills in C#, Python, SQL, PowerShell, and Power BI.
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, governance, and Australian Privacy Principles.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across teams.

Desirable:

  • Certifications in Agile, Azure, or Databricks.
  • Experience with financial platforms like D365 and Epicor.
  • Background in aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Exposure to clinical data integration and mobile app development.
