Digital Solutions Engineer – Python / TypeScript / Azure (Baseline Clearance)

Location: ACT / NSW / VIC / QLD (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 months to June 2026 | Possible extension of 6 months

Hours: Full-time (40 hrs per week)

We're seeking a talented Digital Solutions Engineer to join a modern development team delivering secure, data-driven digital products for a large national program.

This is a hands-on role for a senior full-stack developer who can design, build and optimise applications across the entire stack — from interactive web interfaces to scalable APIs and data integrations in Azure.

You'll work in a small, agile team that values clean code, technical ownership and collaboration with analysts, data engineers and product leads.


What You'll Do
  • Build modern, responsive front-ends using React, SvelteKit or
  • Develop secure REST APIs with Python / FastAPI
  • Design ETL and data pipeline workflows within Azure Synapse Analytics or similar
  • Optimise query performance and data models for analytics dashboards
  • Create data visualisations with Apache ECharts /
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployments (Docker, Azure DevOps)
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions

What You'll Bring
  • 5 + years experience in full-stack development
  • Strong skills in JavaScript / TypeScript and Python
  • Proven experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture
  • Hands-on knowledge of Azure Cloud, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
  • Database experience with ClickHouse, MS SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have
  • Experience in secure government or enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards
  • Certifications in cloud or modern web technologies

Conditions
  • Baseline Security Clearance (current or re-instatable) is mandatory
  • Hybrid working model (onsite + remote)
  • Start date: December 2025
