About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Risk & Compliance Administratorto support our Corporate and Commercial team. This role will report to our Risk & Compliance Advisor and will support the Risk & Compliance obligations required across Australian Industry Group as well as  provide quality administrative support to the Corporate and Commercial Lawyers.

This is a part time role (3-4 days per week, with potential to be made full time) based in our Melbourne office located on St Kilda Road.

Whilst the reality of each day will be different, you can expect to be accountable for:

• Maintaining accurate records of all risk activities and provide reports and updates for leadership team

• Support meetings including scheduling, communicating agenda and taking minutes

• Developing and maintaining any relevant compliance and legal policies, procedures and processes

• Assisting with the coordination of internal audits to ensure processes and systems align with legislation

• Supporting the creation and promotion of the Risk Policy and Framework 

• Preparation of materials such as correspondence, engagement/cost letters and other documents for the lawyers

• Undertaking file and matter management tasks for lawyers including file opening and closures, electronic and hard copy filing and archiving and end of month billing

To best succeed in this role you will have;


• Graduate level qualifications relevant to Commerce, Accounting & Finance, Business & Administration or similar

• Strong attention to detail

• Good working knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Work, Excel and PowerPoint 

• Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels in a collaborative manner

• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to ensure work is timely and meets deadlines

• Understanding of Generative AI preferred but not essential
