This is a casual position with shifts broken into three parts per day—morning, afternoon, and evening. All applicants must be available for and agree to this broken shift arrangement.

This role is well-suited to a qualified professional who resides locally and is confident working independently in a home-based care setting.

Role Overview The Support Worker will be responsible for providing ongoing, in-home and community-based support in Richmond. Duties will include:

  • Assisting with daily living tasks and light domestic activities
  • Providing personal care (showering, grooming, toileting, etc.)
  • Encouraging community participation and personal independence
  • Maintaining professional standards of privacy, dignity, and respect
  • Keeping accurate records and following care plans
  • Complying with food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards
Key Requirements
  • Able to easily commute to Norwest NSW 2153
  • Willingness and availability to work broken shifts (morning, afternoon, evening)
  • Comfortable providing personal care, including toileting and showering
  • Knowledge of manual handling techniques and safe use of equipment (e.g., lifters, hoists)
  • Physically able to safely lift and assist clients as required
  • Strong English language skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, understand care plans, complete accurate documentation, and report effectively to supervisors
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-centred approach
  • Current P1 or full driver's licence (own vehicle preferred)
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Certificate III or above in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability Support
  • Prior experience in in-home or community-based care roles
  • Calm, compassionate, and professional care approach
Mandatory Requirements
  • Legal right to work in Australia
  • 100 points of ID
  • National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NSW Working With Children Check
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
  • CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
