About the role:
The Junior Sport Coordinator at NCC works alongside the Director of Sport to inspire, organize and coordinate comprehensive sport programs for our Junior School students (Prep to Year 6). We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and suitably qualified coordinator committed to Christian education who will develop students' athletic abilities, character, and love for physical activity through sport. This dynamic role combines sport coordination, PE curriculum development, event management, and student leadership opportunities.

This is a Fixed-Term contract position, with flexibility to negotiate and accommodate either full-time or part-time arrangements.
About You:
We are seeking someone who holds relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT). Successful candidates will demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge, effective teaching practice, and a commitment to student wellbeing and achievement. The ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the broader school community is highly valued.
As a faith-based college, we require someone with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ who can translate their faith into professional practice and contribute meaningfully to our College Mission.
Key Selection Criteria:
- A personal alignment with and commitment to the Mission and Vision of Nambour Christian College
- Ability to wholeheartedly demonstrate NCC's genuine Christian commitment and care for students
- Current Queensland College of Teachers Registration or ability to obtain
- Capacity to teach with a high degree of competency as defined under the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with students, families and colleagues
- Understanding of health and safety standards, safeguarding, and risk management in sporting contexts
- Proficiency in TASS, Microsoft Office Suite, Edval, ConnX, Canvas, and Adobe Sign
- Qualifications in Sport and/or experience in successful delivery of school sport programs (highly desirable)
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain
- Knowledge of SCISSA competition rules and procedures (desirable)
