Swanbury Penglase is a large, award-winning, Adelaide based, multi-disciple design practice with a positive and supportive culture undertaking projects throughout Australia.

A full-time opportunity exists to join our busy and successful studio of over 70 professionals with an annual turnover more than $20M as a Finance Officer.

Our ideal candidate would possess more than 7 years professional experience with an organisation of equivalent size and turnover and would maintain day to day financials, prepare financial reports, undertake cashflow management, payroll, and accounts payable as well as some general business administration activities.

Job Role

Cash Flow Management

  • Manage and reconcile bank accounts, including liaising with banks.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow reports.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare quarterly BAS returns.
  • FBT analysis for external accountant to prepare FBT return.
  • Prepare Taxable Payments Annual Report.
  • Prepare end-of-year financial accounts and liaise with external accountants for financial reporting.

Payroll

  • Process wages including PAYG, Super, Payroll Tax and ReturnToWorkSA payments.
  • Manage payroll tax and ReturnToWorkSA compliance.
  • Maintain leave records.
  • Maintain employee records.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Process invoices, payments and reconciliations.
  • Process and reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Monitor accounts mailbox and responding as required
  • Debtor management
  • Management of Insurances

Other general administration duties and support as required.

Successful applicants will:

  • Have experience in a similar financial role (using MYOB)
  • Relevant qualifications
  • Be reliable and trustworthy, with excellent organisational skills and time management
  • Have strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Be a team player, with strong communication skills
