Key Responsibilities:

Depending on the specific needs of your clients, you will be required to apply your knowledge, clinical judgement and/ or practical experience in a variety of areas including for example:

  • Diabetes Management (inc. insulin administration)
  • Wound Care and Management
  • Bowel Care and/ or Continence Management
  • Medication Management
  • Care Plan Management

Skills/ Knowledge and/ or Experience:

  • Min Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification + AHPRA registration;
  • Practical experience in ANY of the following areas: Diabetic care (incl. insulin administration) medication administration, PEG feeding/ tube management, wound care, continence management, diabetes, bowel care, cannulation, catheter management, Muscular Dystrophy, MND, MS, Quadriplegic and/or Paraplegic Care, Mental Health (e.g. depression, anxiety), Autism/ ASD, Intellectual Disability, Dementia care and/ or stroke;
  • Manual handling (e.g. mobilizing & positioning, hoists - ceiling and mobile, commodes/ wheelchair transfers).

Other Job Specific Expectations:

  • You live on the northside and/ or in the Moreton Bay area;
  • Must be able speak and write in English. Secondary language skills will be regarded an asset;
  • Confident and proficient with the use of technology (e.g. via smart phone devices)
  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to management when needed;
  • Comfortable with and confident using technology and apps on smart phone devices;
  • Able to travel from client to client in a timely fashion. NB: You must have a full, unrestricted drivers license and your own reliable vehicle.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $36.00 – $93.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
