We're looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager to take the lead at our Melbourne (Thomastown) store — while working closely with our Geelong flagship location to maintain consistency across both stores.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys mentoring others, and takes pride in running a professional, customer-focused retail environment. You'll play a key part in the continued growth of Lucky Strike Gold as we expand across Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Melbourne store, including staff supervision, sales performance, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with and occasionally work from our Geelong flagship store to maintain alignment in operations, team development, and overall business objectives.
  • Lead by example to drive sales through proactive customer engagement and expert product recommendations.
  • Take responsibility for meeting store targets, managing KPIs, and reporting results to senior management.
  • Train, and develop team members to maintain high levels of product knowledge and service.
  • Oversee stock control processes, including inward goods, transfers between stores, and regular stock counts.
  • Maintain a well-presented, professional store environment that reflects the Lucky Strike Gold brand.
  • Handle or redirect enquiries relating to our Gold & Relics tours, ensuring customers receive accurate information and a seamless experience across both businesses.
  • Communicate updates on products, promotions, and operational improvements across both stores.
  • Support wider business goals and collaborate with the Geelong team on company-wide initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in retail management or team leadership.
  • Strong sales background with a history of achieving or exceeding targets.
  • Confident communicator with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including POS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Availability to work Saturdays.
  • A genuine interest in gold prospecting, detecting, or outdoor adventure (highly regarded).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
