ASSISTANT MANAGER - Petroleum/Convenience Retail
We are one of Australia's largest independently owned fuel retail businesses with a strong presence in Victoria and New South Wales. Established in 1989 the organisation has spent over three decades focused on delivering quality fuel and consumer products with the highest standard of customer service.
We are currently recruiting for Assistant Managers for our stores located in the Thomastown/Roxburgh Park, Vic, areas.
If you love to work in a fast-paced retail environment and desire an opportunity to secure a long term career position, we want to hear from you. Our store needs an articulate and knowledgeable individual to take over the Assistant Manager role.
You'll manage the ongoing customer service, with assistance from fellow sales associates, help the manager with promotions, contribute to the high-energy atmosphere in the store, order merchandise, assist with handling store standards and other aspects of running the business.
We promote from within whenever possible, so potential career tracks could include Store Manager, Relieving Manager or Area Manager prospects.
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess a strong work ethic, hands-on attitude and demonstrate initiative and determination to make things happen by delivering outstanding customer service and results.
Our Assistant Managers support the Site Manager in many aspects of Service Station/Convenience Store operations and provide practical guidance, leadership and inspiration to their teams on a daily basis.
A positive attitude and a desire to go above and beyond will see you thrive in our fast-paced retail environment. Previous Barista, food handling and carwash experience would be advantageous.
Since no two days are the same, you'll need to be comfortable with change and dynamic enough to deal with any challenge.
You will be responsible for:
- Customer service including making barista coffee
- Supporting the Site Manager in driving store sales and achieving targets.
- Controlling store incomes and expenses.
- Contributing to all aspects of store operations; serving customers, stacking shelves, merchandising, ordering and maintaining Brand standards.
- Assist with carwash maintenance and cleaning
- Assist in the training and development of individual store team members.
- Ensuring a safe environment at all times for both staff and customers.
- Assisting with staff planning and rostering.
- Relieving the Site Manager as and when required.
