Technical Architect – Infrastructure and Cloud

This role will be primarily architecting and supporting OCI-based infrastructure solutions for a wide variety of customers, as well as providing OCI subject-matter-expertise, supporting BAU requirements and guiding team members in building components as part of these solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical teams to deliver projects / work packages for Consulting and Managed Services, including contributing to project planning

• Develop complex Technical Architecture Solutions and create design documents to meet client requirements

• Gather technical requirements and translates requirements into infrastructure and software capabilities

• Assist in solving technical and performance problems hands-on within the technical infrastructure

• Acts as the trusted advisor and build strong and profitable relationships with customers, including meeting customers on-site

• Optimise, fine-tune, fit for purpose our managed services operations while applying knowledge of customer's business

• Work with our solutions team and contribute to the development of proposals to meet customer requirements and progress those opportunities
   

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 5+ years consulting experience with technical architecture analysis and design in Oracle-based environments

• Strong Linux (OEL/RHEL) system administration skills

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) infrastructure architecting with recent hands-on OCI implementation and BAU support experience

• Experience working successfully with technical teams to build consensus and support and deploy initiatives aligned to business objectives

• Excellent management, stakeholder engagement, and technical communication skills
   

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

• Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture experience in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Exadata or TeamIM

• Strong familiarity in supporting Oracle DBAs on Oracle-based infrastructure.

• A proven track record of leading, coaching and motivating technical teams including working with third parties/vendors, including mentoring experience of more junior team members

• Relevant OCI & Oracle certifications

You must have the ability to obtain a Government security clearance.
