The Opportunity

We're looking for a number of skilled Mobile Plant Operators to join our team at Lucas Heights Landfill site. This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced with heavy machinery and keen to contribute to essential waste operations that support the local environment. Some of the responsibilities are as below.

  • Operate machinery such as dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxys
  • Perform tip face operations including waste placement and compaction
  • Responsible for following plans and EPA guidelines
  • Carry out daily cover operations, including the mixing and application of cover materials
  • Conduct basic site maintenance and assist with light manual handling tasks when required

About You

  • A valid plant operator ticket or equivalent competency of at least two-three of the above (VOC, RII, etc.)
  • Proven experience operating dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxy trucks
  • Good understanding of safety and environmental compliance in a landfill or earthworks setting
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow operational plans
  • Previous experience in landfill operations or waste industry will be advantageous
  • HR Licence will be beneficial
