The Opportunity
Join Aveo as a
Senior Power BI Analyst
and play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven decision-making across our business. You'll partner with stakeholders across the business to design and build intuitive Power BI models & dashboards, transform data into meaningful insights, and ensure data quality that drives confident business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a Power BI expert to contribute to our CRM Transformation program and support Aveo's vision of leading the way in retirement living through innovation and data excellence.
Your Impact:
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, datamarts and reports that deliver clear, actionable intelligence.
- Build and optimise star-schema/semantic data models that support self-service reporting and empower teams to make informed decisions.
- Design and maintain data pipelines that integrate Dynamics 365, legacy CRM data, other Aveo business systems, and external third-party sources to deliver a unified, reliable analytics layer.
- Optimise DAX, Power Query, and SQL for speed and scalability, fine-tuning datasets and reports to enhance user experience. Perform root-cause analysis of anomalies and deliver insights that directly influence business outcomes. Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Contracts, Finance and other internal teams to capture their requirements and deliver tailored reporting solutions.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for datasets, models, and dashboards, contributing to Aveo's data governance standards. Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and emerging capabilities such as Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and/or Snowflake to embed new features and best practices into Aveo's BI landscape.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities where data can improve business performance.
- Champion BI adoption across the business by mentoring power users and promoting self-service capability.

What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in Power BI development (or other visualisation tools), including dimensional data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and advanced visualisation.
- Relevant qualifications in Data Science, Information Systems or related fields, and Microsoft Power BI certification (highly regarded)
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, joining, and shaping data to support reporting and analytics. Track record of optimising Power BI solutions for performance and scalability (e.g. query folding, incremental refresh, calculation groups).
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other CRM systems (Salesforce, etc.) is highly regarded but not essential.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Demonstrated ability to create clear documentation and contribute to data governance frameworks.
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.
