Middle School Mathematics/Science Teacher

We are excited to invite an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics and Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a secondary teacher who thrives in a collaborative classroom environment and is passionate about inspiring our students to think critically and apply their learning to real-world contexts. This is a full-time fixed-term role from 7 October 2025 to 5 December 2025 (Term 4, 2025), teaching Years 7 and 8, 9 mathematics and science.

• Demonstrate effective pedagogical practices in learning and teaching, supporting the development and maintenance of positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Create a dynamic, student-centered learning environment that is supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents, and practices.
• Implement effective, adaptive, inclusive, and equitable teaching strategies.
• Provide effective supervision of students and behaviour management practices.
• Support the sacramental, liturgical, ritual, and prayer life of the College.
• Ensure that the teachings, values, and practices of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. Qualifications to teach Mathematics and Science (Bachelor degree in education or equivalent qualification/s).
2. Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
3. Proficiency in using a range of information communications technology skills (e.g., Microsoft Teams, supporting students' use of technology to access curriculum).
4. Ability to work autonomously and under limited direction, while inspiring and motivating students in a progressive learning environment to prepare them for the future.
5. Commitment to Catholic education, philosophy, and practice, with a willingness to participate in the College's co-curricular program and attend camps as directed.
