Overview

Teacher - Years 7-10 Science at St Paul's School. This role is a full-time teaching position within the secondary school program. The successful candidate will deliver a vibrant curriculum in Science (and Mathematics as applicable) and differentiate instruction to meet a diverse student cohort.

Description and Responsibilities
  • Deliver a holistic education in Science (and Mathematics as appropriate) to Years 7-10 within a collaborative, student-centered environment.
  • Plan, implement, and review learning programs aligned with curriculum, policies and practices.
  • Maintain professional standards as defined by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Manage students in the classroom and wider school community with a focus on safety, respect, and engagement.
  • Uphold the values and Christian ethos of the School.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience teaching Science and Mathematics in middle years (Years 7-10), and Senior Physics and/or Chemistry and/or Senior Mathematics is desirable.
  • Qualified Teacher, registered with, or eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across knowledge, practice and engagement.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum: Science and Mathematics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to engaging with colleagues, students, parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and Anglican ethos of the School.
