Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our vibrant, co-educational day and boarding school in North Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Middle Years Mathematics and Science to students from Pre-Prep to Year 12.

The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers, and working rights for Australia. They will also have appropriate qualifications and experience teaching the outlined subjects, a commitment to upholding the school's values and ethos, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Middle Years Mathematics and Science to students from Pre-Prep to Year 12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education, etc.)
  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or eligibility to gain)
  • Working rights for Australia (or eligibility to gain)
  • Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching the outlined subjects
