We are seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join our operations team. This role is central to ensuring our fleet runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day coordination of fleet and logistics operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Schedule and route fleet to meet client delivery requirements.
  • Manage client bookings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and professional communication.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and portal updates promptly and professionally.
  • Act as the link between clients, subcontractors (drivers), and the Operations Team to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Identify and manage potential delivery delays/issues, proactively communicating with clients.
  • Manage job pricing, permits, and documentation processes.
  • Monitor operational costs and subcontractor expenses.
  • Organising training and inductions
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time, including job modifications and processing client/driver paperwork through the transport portal.

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management.
  • Strong understanding of fleet scheduling, compliance, and cost control.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the transport sector.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation ability.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-savvy, with confidence using transport management systems and portals.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to balance service quality with cost efficiency.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.15 – $26.80 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 37 per week
