Food Safety

We currently have an opportunity for a Food Safety & Quality Systems Specialist (RAH Patient Kitchen) . Join our Health & Education team and play a key role in driving food safety excellence, compliance, and system performance within the Royal Adelaide Hospital Patient Kitchen . Reporting to the Food Services Operations and Performance Manager , you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You'll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Maintaining and continuously improving the Food Safety Program (FSP) and HACCP-based system
• Conducting internal audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring
• Supporting digital systems including Delegate, Safe Food Pro, and associated reporting tools
• Providing training, onboarding, and competency development for kitchen staff
• Ensuring supply chain compliance, traceability, labelling accuracy, and product integrity

What You'll Bring (experience required)

• Experience in a HACCP-based or accredited food production environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, standards, and auditing practices
• Experience using digital food safety or meal management systems (e.g., Delegate, Safe Food Pro)
• Understanding of supply chain processes including stock control, product traceability, and supplier compliance
• Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
