As a Senior Engineer on Coach, you'll build AI‑powered coaching experiences that help managers and employees turn insights into confident action—directly supporting Culture Amp's mission to create a better world of work.

Coach combines People Science and AI to deliver a personalised coaching assistant, available whenever you may need guidance. Whether you're preparing for challenging conversations, giving feedback, performance conversations, or even analysing engagement insights, Coach helps you act with clarity and confidence, and is currently being implemented throughout the Culture Amp platform.

As part of this team of amazing humans:

You'll join a cross‑functional product team working with design, product, data science, and platform partners to evolve a trusted, secure coaching experience grounded in proven methodologies and evidence.

You will:
  • Ship high quality AI features — from discovery and design to implementation, testing, launch, and iteration.
  • Integrate and enhance AI‑enabled capabilities (e.g., RAG, MCP servers, agents, tooling, llm-as-judge evals) with strong safety, privacy, and observability practices.
  • Improve reliability and performance with streaming, token optimisation, and robust monitoring—balancing speed, cost, and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, people science, designers and data scientists to deliver impactful AI solutions while mentoring and supporting the team.
  • Raise the bar for engineering excellence through thoughtful design docs, code reviews, pairing, and mentorship.
You have:
  • Demonstrated Senior Engineer impact, leading delivery of moderately complex epics and navigating ambiguity with sound trade‑offs.
  • Strong expertise in Python. Bonus if you have experience across TypeScript, React or  
  • Experience building and scaling distributed systems with solid testing, observability, and reliability practices.
  • Practical familiarity with AI‑enabled product development (or a strong desire to learn), including RAG, MCP, agents, tools, prompt design, and evals/guardrails.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a product mindset and care for privacy, security, and data quality.
