About The Team
Our Construction Services (Temporary Works) Team assesses the most suitable construction methodology for our clients' requirements and detail the engineering works required for implementation.

We provide a full range of temporary works and construction engineering services across Australia in multiple sectors, focusing on the development of safe, considered and innovative solutions to the most challenging problems encountered in the construction of projects. Our team pride themselves on working seamlessly with all project stakeholders, ensuring no solution is developed in isolation and without consideration of the potential implications on other areas of the project.

The Construction Services team has recently been involved in some exciting, notable projects including:

• West Gate Tunnel Project for CPB and John Holland
• Level Crossing Removal Project (NWPA, SPA, SEPA, WPA)
• Suburban Rail Loop for Laing O'Rourke & CPB Contractors
• Eastern Freeway Upgrade (EBTA) for Laing O'Rourke
• Eastern Freeway Upgrade (ETSA) for CPB Contractors & BMD
• Bridgewater Bridge Replacement for McConnell Dowell
• Inland Rail (T2A) for McConnell Dowell
• Inland Rail (B2A) for John Holland
• Melbourne Airport Terminal Upgrades for CPB Contractors

About The Role
Our Melbourne office now has a permanent opportunity for a
Senior Construction Services Engineer
with demonstrated temporary works engineering design experience, a reliable and confident communicator (who is proven experience in client facing role), and the desire to lead and mentor. This is a pivotal role supporting the CS Team, manage projects, delegate workload and interface with key clients.

We are looking for someone with …

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 6+ years demonstrated design experience at a senior level (or ready for the next step up) in temporary works installations, certification and design
• An innovative and out of the box attitude to solutions and designs
• The ability to critically assess and review designs by others
• Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design
• Knowledge of current proprietary products relevant to temporary works, including (but not limited to) shoring, propping, formwork/falsework, and scaffolding.
• The ability to work independently and mentor less senior engineers
• Experience in writing tenders and proposals
• NER and RPEV registered
• CPEng qualified (or working to attain this)
