Video Producer

We're looking for some extra help producing our shoots

Our growing team of video production pros need an extra set of hands to call on to produce our shoots.

In this role, you'll work alongside our camera operators on shoots with our clients to ensure we're capturing everything we need for our post team to create some crackerjack video content. You'd also look after our clients through our pre-production process and brief our post team.

Responsibilities you'll have ...

• To liaise directly with clients and knock their socks off on location.
• Supervise shoots and ensure all footage we need is collected.
• To communicate clearly and regularly with clients about their video projects before, during and after the shoot.
• To work efficiently and meet deadlines.

Being a 'producer' can mean loads of things depending on how production is done, so to give you an idea of what a producer on our team does, here is some extra info:

• Before a shoot our producers…

• Meet with our clients and their teams during the 'Kick-off' phase of pre-production.

• Help plan the project using our collaborative 'project planner'.

• Meet with other members of our production team and lead the 'pre-prod meeting' before the shoot.

• On a shoot (Most of our shoots are half or full days and have a crew of 2x a 'Producer' (that's you) and a Camera Operator) our producers …

• Liaise with our client contact.

• Conducts authentic, informal interviews with on camera talent who have usually not been in front of a camera before (that feel more like 'chats' than scripted interviews or reading a list of questions).
• Helps our camera operator with gear.

• After the shoot our producers …

• Take any notes in our 'project planner' for our editors (including an audio debrief after the shoot is wrapped up)

• Hand over the project to post and keep across the project as the edit team bring the content to life in the 'Directors Cut'.
• Help deliver the finished product through 'The Premiere'.

• All the way through the process our producers…

• Make the experience for our clients an awesome one, guiding them through each part of the process and ensuring we're capturing and creating excellent content.

This role is perfect for someone with experience producing shoots for TV or professional video content and who loves having a chat with people while a camera-op works their magic next to them.

You must:

• Be passionate about telling a story in an authentic way.
• Be driven to create the very best product every time.

• Be up for the challenge of creating compelling videos for business and not-for-profit clients.
• Be able to respond professionally to feedback from our team and from clients.
• Be up for the challenges of creating awesome content within the limitation of clients' deadlines and budgets.

You'll need to have:

• Experience working as a producer with a focus on interviewing people who haven't been on-camera before.
• Experience dealing professionally with customers/clients in a previous role.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience at a Production Company or Network.

There will be moments in this role where you'll need to work with marketers and prospective clients who haven't yet finalised the details of their project and will still be looking at their options. So experience in business development or sales roles in the past would complement your skills as a producer here too, although that isn't a requirement.
