Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven HSE Manager with a strong background in risk management and regulatory compliance to lead the development and execution of health, safety, and environmental programs across sales, production, and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with sales teams, warehouse staff, and production personnel to promote a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with all regulations, and minimize operational risks.
You will have a deep understanding and related experience with the ongoing management of the ISO standards related to business operations, Health and Safety and Environment
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environmental Oversight
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies across production facilities, distribution sales units, and Warehousing.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections across all functional areas, including field sales teams, showrooms, warehouses, field and inhouse service operations and manufacturing/assembly sites.
- Investigate incidents and near misses across all departments, providing detailed reports, corrective actions, and trend analysis.
- Implement safety measures suitable for the range of roles across the organization.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify and assess operational and field-based risks across sales channels, manufacturing lines, warehousing and distribution operations.
- Maintain a risk register and implement control measures in coordination with legal, compliance, and department heads.
- Ensure company-wide compliance with ISO 45001/14001 and other applicable state HSE regulations.
- Manage and support internal and external compliance audits; ensure timely remediation of findings.
Sales & Customer Engagement Support
- Provide safety protocols and training for sales staff.
- Support the safe rollout of new products with guidance on transport, handling, and end-user safety requirements.
Training & Communication
- Develop and conduct tailored HSE training for production workers, warehouse staff, drivers, and sales personnel.
- Deliver safety inductions, compliance updates, emergency preparedness drills, and monthly organisation-wide toolbox talks.
- Foster a safety-first culture through leadership engagement, HSE campaigns, and cross-department collaboration.
Reporting & Documentation
- Track and analyze HSE performance indicators across all business units, including safety metrics in field sales.
- Maintain and manage compliance documentation, training logs, risk assessments, and audit results.
- Report monthly to senior management on key risks, incidents, compliance issues, and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field
- Industry certifications preferred ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of HSE experience, ideally with exposure to sales operations, production environments, and logistics.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management best practices.
- Proficiency with safety software tools, compliance reporting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
