As the Leading Hand Plant Mechanic you will join our Regional Team on a Residential or FIFO basis at our Newman branch.

Department Overview: Newman Branch look after the East Pilbara, from small construction equipment to large mining machines.

Roster: 14 Days On, 7 Off - 12 hrs/day

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and motivate a crew of up to 10 employees
  • Promote and encourage high safety standards and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Assist in training team members and work alongside them.
  • Manage and handle high-volume work efficiently.

Skills & Experience:

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
  • Exposure to mining, construction equipment, or other industrial areas such as agriculture, highway trucks, or hire equipment.
  • Experience with CAT equipment
  • Team leadership experience with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
  • Strong understanding of KPI metrics
