bout the Company
Zuster is a renowned Australian designer, manufacturer, and retailer of high-end residential and commercial timber, upholstered, and bathroom furniture. With manufacturing facilities in Thomastown and a flagship showroom in Hawthorn, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and service to our valued customers.
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and resilient Customer Care & Administration Coordinator to join our manufacturing administration team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless customer experience — from order to invoice through to delivery.
You will be responsible for coordinating deliveries, confirming lead times, invoicing, and managing accounts receivable. You'll also liaise closely with our production and sales teams to ensure customer expectations are met with professionalism and efficiency.
This role suits someone systematic, business-minded, and unflappable — someone who thrives on detail, deadlines, and delivering great customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding orders, lead times, and delivery bookings.
- Convert orders to invoices once manufacturing is complete and manage timely client communication.
- Coordinate and schedule furniture deliveries; conduct follow-ups post-delivery.
- Manage after-sales enquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments (most paid prior to dispatch).
- Maintain accurate records in our manufacturing software and liaise closely with the production team.
- Work directly with manufacturing to confirm furniture completion.
- Contribute to and meet weekly KPIs with the production administration team.
Skills & Attributes
- Bright, confident, and professional with excellent communication skills.
- Thick-skinned and resilient when handling pressure or customer demands (though this is not an everyday occurrence).
- Highly organised, systematic, and efficient with strong attention to detail.
- Business-minded, ideally with a background or qualification in Business Administration.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel essential) and MYOB (preferred).
- Strong multitasking ability and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Why Join Us
- Supportive team environment with experienced, long-term staff.
- Training and daily support provided by two dedicated team members.
- Role created due to business growth and increased customer focus.
Hours
- Option of part-time (minimum 30 hours) or full-time (38 hours).
Full-time hours:
Monday – Thursday: 7.00 am – 3.30 pm
- Friday: 7.00 am – 1.40 pm
Remuneration
Salary negotiable, based on experience and hours.
If you are smart, efficient, and customer-focused, with the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced but supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now to join the Zuster team.
