Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Healius Ltd Full time

Why You Will Be Excited About This Role

At Healius, we make life better by delivering seamless, timely, and high-quality diagnostic services - supporting better health outcomes for communities across Australia.

This role is an opportunity to influence strategic property decisions that underpin our national pathology network. You'll provide financial analysis and insights that shape investments, leases, and operational performance across hundreds of sites. Working closely with Customer & Commercial Managers, Operations, and Property teams, you'll ensure financial integrity in property decisions and contribute to cost optimisation and strategic planning. If you enjoy turning data into meaningful recommendations and partnering with diverse stakeholders, this is an opportunity to make a real impact in a flexible, purpose-driven environment.

About Us

Healius employs 10,000+ passionate people, with an expansive network of over 100 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia's largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities. This means that you will be working with purpose whilst being a part of a business big enough to offer interstate mobility, job security and opportunities to fulfill your career ambitions.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Financial Analyst within our Corporate Finance team, you will:

  • Deliver accurate and timely financial analysis to support property-related investments, leases, and operational performance.
  • Prepare and review Property Evaluation Requests (PERs), interrogating financial assumptions and ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for lease analysis, capital expenditure (capex), and return on investment.
  • Track actual performance against forecasts, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide financial input into lease negotiations, renewals, and new site evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Customer & Commercial Managers, Operations, and Property teams to ensure robust budgeting and forecasting.
  • Support strategic property initiatives through data-driven insights and continuous improvement of financial processes.

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

To succeed in this role, you will be a commercially minded analyst who thrives on detail and collaboration. You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years' experience in financial analysis, ideally with exposure to property or multi-site businesses.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and advanced Excel proficiency (Power BI experience is a plus).
  • Ability to interpret and challenge assumptions in business cases and forecasts.
  • Experience engaging stakeholders at all levels and presenting clear, actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of property-related costs, capital investments, and ROI analysis will be highly regarded.

.
