FP&A / Commercial Analyst – 12 Month FTC

Location: CBD / Flexible / Hybrid

Salary: $130,000 – $140,000 + Super

Are you looking to take your finance career to the next level within a growing ASX-listed software business? We are seeking a FP&A / Commercial Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join our team and support the delivery of insightful financial analysis across our business.

About the Role:

You will work closely with our Lead Financial Business Partner (FBP) and partner with teams across Financial Services, Health, and Client divisions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on financial analysis, reporting, and providing the numbers that help drive business decisions. While you will engage with business managers, this is more of a "grunt work" FP&A role -delivering solid financial insights and support to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain management reports, dashboards, and forecasts
  • Support the Lead FBP with financial analysis and scenario planning
  • Conduct variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting to support business decision-making
  • Partner with business units to understand financial performance
  • Assist with budgeting, rolling forecasts, and KPI tracking
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy of financial data

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong FP&A or commercial finance experience, ideally within software, tech, or listed businesses
  • Solid reporting and analytical skills
  • Comfortable performing hands-on financial work with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different business units
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems
  • Proactive, curious, and willing to take ownership of your work
