About the opportunity
We are seeking a Massage Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated, willing to go the extra mile and to work in a multidisciplinary team. We offer a beautiful massage environment to treat clients on a regular basis; enabling us to educate our clients on how to look after their bodies outside of the treatment room in addition to regular Massages.
Requirements
- Certified to perform Massage with Remedial qualifications being highly desirable
- Experience and/or willingness to build networks to build a strong client base
- Must have membership to a professional massage association
Duties Include
- Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure patients are looked after to the highest standard
- Evaluate client's condition and develop a proposed treatment plan
- Maintain accurate treatment records for clients
- Provide remedial massage to assist in healing parts of the body that have been injured or left inactive due to age, illness or injury
- Provide sports massage which combines different massage techniques to enhance sports performance and recuperation and prevent injury
- Provide relaxation massage which combines massage techniques to promote relaxation, improve circulation, relieve muscle tension and increase range of movement
- Discuss with clients about their medical histories and problems with stress or pain to determine how massage will be most helpful
- Provide clients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement and stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises.
- Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used
- Refer clients to flotation and sauna therapies
About you
- Minimum Advanced diploma of Myotherapy or Diploma of Remedial Massage
- Qualified to perform a variety of massage treatments which include Remedial and Relaxation
- Ability to perform additional modalities advantageous - eg, Hot Stone, Pregnancy Massage, Cupping, Lymphatic Drainage, Lomi Lomi or Sports
- Qualify to hold provider numbers with all health funds.
- Myotherapy/Remedial massage association membership
- Positive attitude

- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Must have a passion for their job along with being driven, motivated and hardworking
