Jetcrete is a full service industry leader in the underground mining industry providing services to our major mine owners throughout Australia in the application of Shotcrete.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the position of:

Mobile Plant (Fitter) Apprentice

This position will be based in Broken Hill on a 7/7 roster and it is preferred that candidates reside in Broken Hill, as this is where they will complete their trade studies.

Reporting to the Site Maintenance Superintendent and allocated tradesmen you will:

  • Gain experience working on a range of mining equipment and installations
  • Obtain an endorsed qualification with on and off the job training
  • Gain experience and knowledge in working in an underground mine environment.

Prior to being offered a final selection interview, applicants should:

  • Preferably have successfully completed Year 12 with passes in Mathematics and English
  • Be willing to work in remote areas
  • Be totally committed to safe work practices and have attention to detail
  • Have strong communication skills and have the ability to work within a team.

School leavers (18 years) and mature aged applicants are encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants will be required to pass the following criteria:

  • A pre-employment medical and a drug & alcohol screen
  • National Police Clearance.
