Building & Property Management Assistant – East Brisbane

Looking for a role where no two days are the same? We're an experienced onsite management team overseeing two residential buildings in Brisbane, and we're seeking a reliable, hands-on, and adaptable assistant to join us.

You'll work closely with us to help keep the buildings in top condition, support our residents, and ensure everything runs smoothly. This is a varied role with a mix of onsite caretaking support and rental property management assistance — perfect for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and being part of a friendly, supportive team.

What You'll Be Doing

Caretaking Support

  • Assist with daily walk-through inspections of common areas and facilities.
  • Help identify and report maintenance issues to the managers.
  • Assist in arranging and following up on repairs, maintenance, cleaning, gardening, and other services.
  • Coordinate access for trades and help ensure work is completed to a good standard.
  • Support in obtaining quotes from suppliers and contractors.
  • Assist with by-law compliance monitoring and keeping records updated.

Property Management Support

  • Assist with entry, routine, and exit inspections, including report preparation.
  • Support bond lodgements and basic lease administration.
  • Help respond to phone and email enquiries from tenants and owners.
  • Assist with advertising properties, holding inspections, and processing applications.
  • Help arrange and follow up on maintenance requests.

About You

  • Highly reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility and follow-through.
  • Quick to adapt and able to think on your feet when needed.
  • Practical and hands-on, happy to assist with a variety of building and property-related tasks.
  • Property management registration/certificate is a plus.
  • Experience in property management or building maintenance preferred.
  • Own vehicle and current driver's licence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and proactive attitude.
  • Comfortable working independently while following clear directions.
  • Good computer and administration skills.
