About the role

We're seeking an experienced HC Truck Driver to join the team at Australian Timber & Trusses' in the Gold Coast area. As an HC Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting our high-quality timber products across the region. This is a full-time position that offers excellent pay and benefits.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate HC class trucks to transport timber, trusses, and other building materials to construction sites and customers
  • Conduct pre-start and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
  • Monitor and maintain vehicle condition, reporting any issues or concerns to management
  • Provide excellent customer service by delivering products
  • Comply with all relevant road transport regulations and company policies
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

  • A valid HC driver's licence with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating HC class vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of road transport regulations and safe driving practices
  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to on-time delivery
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of the role
  • Preference shown to those with VC licences for Vehicle loading cranes.
  • Opportunity to be a relief driver for our fleet. Smaller 2 tonne deliveries or small maintenance roles between driving
