About the role

Coastal Demolitions' is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team in Carrara, QLD. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of demolition materials and equipment across construction sites in the local area. This is a full-time position that will require you to work on-site and operate a range of commercial vehicles as needed.

What you'll be doing

  1. Operate a range of commercial vehicles, including rigid trucks, tipper trucks and semi-trailers, to transport demolition materials and equipment
  2. Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently at construction sites
  3. Conduct daily pre-start checks and maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of assigned vehicles
  4. Adhere to all relevant road rules, safety regulations and company policies to ensure the safe delivery of materials
  5. Assist the site team with general labouring tasks as required
  6. Maintain accurate records of vehicle use, delivery times and any incidents

What we're looking for

  1. A current Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence
  2. At least 2 years of experience operating heavy commercial vehicles, preferably in a construction or demolition environment
  3. Knowledge of load restraint and safe loading/unloading procedures
  4. Excellent driving skills and a commitment to safe driving practices
  5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  6. Good communication and teamwork skills
  7. A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
