Service & Maintenance Technician

Brisbane Automatic Gate Systems is expanding, and we're seeking a hands-on technician who enjoys solving on-site problems and delivering exceptional customer service.

What you'll do
  • Visit residential and commercial sites to service, maintain, and repair automatic gates and access control systems.
  • Diagnose faults in automation and access control equipment; carry out on-the-spot fixes or plan follow-up work.
  • Install new gate automation and access control equipment
  • Document work completed with clear written reports and photos.
  • Work safely and collaborate with our friendly techs, coordinators, and suppliers.
What you'll bring

Must-haves

  • Current Restricted Electrical Licence (QLD).
  • Current manual driver's licence.
  • Strong customer focus and clear communication.
  • Ability to work independently, meet daily targets, and keep organised.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a good level of physical fitness.
  • Positive attitude and interest in a long-term role.

Nice-to-haves (great, but not essential)

  • Experience with gate automation, access control, intercoms, or similar electromechanical systems.
  • Background in service work, such as industrial machinery, roller doors, or security systems.

A bit about the work

Most days you'll be on the road in Brisbane and surrounds, handling a mix of planned maintenance, new installs, and breakdowns for automatic gate systems and access control. You'll have a reliable team behind you whenever you need support.

As full training is provided, this role will ideally suit an experienced service technician seeking a change from similar fields, such as industrial machine repairs.
