The Opportunity
We are seeking a Surveying Technician to join our client's team in Sydney. Our client is a reputable land surveying firm working on projects across the Sydney metropolitan area. This role offers complete training and mentorship, providing an excellent foundation for career development.
You will work alongside an experienced team, supporting senior surveyors, gaining hands-on experience across various surveying activities, including feature and topographic surveys, and assisting with boundary surveys and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surveyors with fieldwork, including boundary, detail, and set-out surveys.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot surveying equipment such as drones, GNSS, scanners, and Total Stations.
- Collect, manage, and process survey data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare and update survey reports, documentation, and methodologies.
- Ensure all work is completed per project timelines, safety requirements, and company standards.
What you need to be a successful candidate
- Currently residing in Sydney or willing to relocate.
- Full working rights in Australia. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
- A relevant civil engineering, surveying, or spatial sciences qualification, or working towards one.
- Previous land surveying experience is desirable but not essential, as complete training will be provided.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A valid driver's licence.
