Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany aged or individual with disability during daily activities and appointments.
  • Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and use of aids or equipment.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to clients' dietary needs.
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide companionship, friendship, and emotional support.
  • Arrange and participate in social and recreational activities.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, vacuuming, and laundry.
  • Assist clients with errands, grocery shopping, and medication reminders.
  • Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with staff and family members.
  • Promote client independence, dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services, and at least 12 months of relevant experience.
  • Current First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration Certificate.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Induction Modules.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check must be obtained before starting work.
  • Current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Comprehensive vehicle insurance coverage is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and record-keeping skills.
