About The Role
This position reports to the Maintenance Coordinator and aims to develop you into a competent Tradesperson.
You will work alongside mechanical tradespeople at Zenith Energy's various power stations across Western Australia (WA) and the Northern Territory (NT), gaining hands-on training and mentorship in a collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities will include performing planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance tasks, breakdown repairs, and maintenance of ancillary equipment.
This full-time position requires working at regional sites within WA and NT, with the potential for travel to other locations as needed.
The role operates on a 14-day on and 14-day off roster; however, TAFE commitments and training requirements will be accommodated.
As our sites operate 24/7, you may also be required to attend after hours.
What You Will Do
- Collaborating with tradespeople on planned maintenance activities and handling unscheduled maintenance and breakdowns of power generation equipment and related ancillary equipment.
- Keeping service records up-to-date and well-maintained.
- Conducting fault finding and diagnostic testing.
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to Zenith Energy's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies at all sites.
- Actively participating in efforts to ensure a workplace free from incidents at all times.
Experience
- A desire to learn engine rebuilds, maintenance, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent listening, comprehension, and communication skills.
- High work ethic.
- Sound problem-solving skills.
Skills/Knowledge
- Highly analytical and organised.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and nurture connections with subcontractors and clients.
- Year 12 Education with a sound achievement in English and Math's.
Qualifications/Certifications/Clearances
- All applicants must be over 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and Pre-employment Medical.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Valid C class manual driver's licence.
