Description

About the Role

We have multiple Casual positions available, in our supported independent living accommodation, located across the Northern and Southern suburbs. A wide range of shifts are available, including weekdays, weekends, overnight shifts and 24/7 rosters. 

As a Support Worker, you will be working with our clients to promote independence, skill development and community engagement through a person-centered approach. You'll be:

Delivering tailored support to individuals with low to high-level needs, based on training and program outcomesAssisting with daily living activities such as personal care, medication, cooking, cleaning, appointments, and recreational outingsPromoting community inclusion and helping clients build meaningful relationships and interestsMonitoring and supporting individual program plans and report outcomesSafely assisting with mobility and physical support needs

Knowledge, skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you'll bring a strong foundation of practical experience, relevant qualifications, and a genuine commitment to supporting people living with disability.

Minimum Certificate III in Disability or equivalentA current driver's license (minimum P2 required)Current First Aid Certificate with CPRNDIS Worker Screening CheckWillingness to complete all mandatory training requirementsExperience supporting clients of all ages in varied settingsAbility to work independently and within a multidisciplinary teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of National Disability Standards and safeguarding practicesConfidence using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate recordsFamiliarity with behaviour support strategies and health needs
