At Southern Star Gardens & Landscaping, we are passionate about transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful, functional landscapes. Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to providing top-notch landscaping services to our clients. We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Landscaping Assistant to join our team and help us bring our clients' visions to life.

The projects we take on range from small residential projects to large scale government contracts. We also have a team of maintenance experts.

Position Overview: As a Landscaping Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced landscapers to assist with various tasks and ensure the successful completion of landscaping projects. Your role will involve hands-on work, from retaining walls and paving to lawn and garden maintenance.

You will be required predominantly to assist the landscape construction team as well as the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planting, mulching, and lawn & general garden maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools.
  • Assist in the installation of hardscaping elements, such as paving, concreting, and retaining walls.
  • Help with the design and layout of garden beds and outdoor spaces.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of landscaping features.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the worksite.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to company guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in landscaping or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is compulsory
