The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced
Automation Engineer (Renewables)
to join our team in
Brisbane or Melbourne
. This is your chance to work on

What You'll Do

As an Automation Engineer at Cromarty, you will:

  • Deliver
    automation solutions
    for renewable energy and other industries.
  • Provide
    technical design expertise
    aligned with Cromarty standards, QA processes, and Australian regulations.
  • Manage the
    full project lifecycle
    —from concept and tender through to design, programming, configuration, and commissioning.
  • Apply
    automation best practices
    ,
    containerisation
    , and
    cloud-hosted deployments
    to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

What We're Looking For

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • Bachelor of Engineering
    in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or IoT/IT.
  • Industry experience
    in Renewable Energy (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong background in
    Automation
    and
    CI/CD processes
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    containerisation
    and
    orchestration
    (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven ability in
    cloud solution deployment
    (AWS, Azure, or similar).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as
    C#, Java, or Python
    .
  • Knowledge of
    network architecture
    and
    cybersecurity principles
    .
  • Australian working rights
    (mandatory).
