Operations Automation Engineer
About Brunae Body
Brunae Body is one of Australia's fastest-growing beauty & wellness brands, redefining tanning and skincare with natural, innovative products.
We're a young, ambitious, high-performance team - and we're looking for an
automations wizard
to join us and build the systems that power our scale.
The Role
This is not a traditional operations role. As
Operations Automation Engineer
, you'll own the backbone of Brunae Body's global supply chain
while coding, automating, and engineering proprietary processes
that remove manual work and future-proof our operations.
You'll work across inventory, procurement, logistics, finance, and systems - combining
hands-on ops execution
with
technical problem-solving
to design processes that scale.
Key Responsibilities
3PL Coordination & Order Support
- Act as main contact for our global 3PL partners (AU, USA, UK, EU).
- Monitor and resolve order issues, delays, and discrepancies.
- Ensure SLAs and customer delivery expectations are consistently met.
Inventory Management & Demand Planning
- Track inventory levels across multiple markets and warehouses.
- Forecast demand based on sales trends, seasonality, and campaigns.
- Flag potential stock-outs and implement proactive solutions.
- Use Cin7 for Inventory management
Procurement & Ordering
- Raise and manage purchase orders with suppliers.
- Coordinate inbound shipments, freight forwarding, and customs clearance.
- Negotiate lead times and align production with demand forecasts.
Systems & Process Engineering
- Manage and optimise our stock management system (Cin7).
- Build automations and integrations across Shopify, Cin7, Xero, Klaviyo, and 3PL platforms.
- Write scripts or use APIs (Python/SQL/Zapier/Make) to remove manual steps and engineer proprietary workflows.
- Maintain SOPs and improve processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with marketing to plan inventory for launches and promos.
- Support finance with accurate COGS, landed cost, and margin reporting.
- Assist with compliance and documentation for international distribution.
Continuous Improvement & Automation
- Identify bottlenecks and build solutions that eliminate them.
- Execute strategies for cost savings in supply chain and logistics.
- Drive adoption of automation tools and ensure the team leverages systems fully.
About You
- Degree in
Engineering, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, or related
. - Hands-on coding experience (Python, SQL, HTML or similar).
- Strong experience with AI
- Strong skills in building
automations (Zapier, Make, APIs, custom scripts)
. - Excellent problem-solver - you thrive on building elegant solutions to messy processes.
- Strong organisational skills to manage suppliers, 3PLs, and stock across multiple regions.
- Comfortable working at speed in a fast-growing startup.
- Passion for tech, e-commerce, and building things that
just work
.
What we Offer
- Competitive Salary Package
- A hybrid role where you'll
own core operations AND engineer proprietary systems
. - Direct mentorship and exposure to the founders of a fast-scaling consumer brand.
- Real impact: your work will be the backbone that enables Brunae Body to scale globally.
- A young, driven culture that values speed, problem-solving, and innovation.
