Senior Civil Engineer

Opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to work on a diverse range of development projects, in a role that offers future career progression opportunities.

We are a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy focused on providing personalised service tailored to the specific development needs of our clients. Due to ongoing demand and growth on the South Coast, we are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join and lead our team of engineers.

What you will do

As the Senior Civil Engineer you will have a strong focus on working with our clients across a variety of projects from concept to completion. Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Design, coordination and project management of civil infrastructure projects, from feasibility through to construction.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Complete, review and approve civil engineering designs, specifications, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Participate in project management activities, including progress tracking, financial management, and risk management.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
  • Participate in industry organisations and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in civil design for land development.

What you will bring

You are an experienced civil design engineer having had a direct role in designing road and stormwater drainage infrastructure with leadership experience and a strong focus on working with clients for great outcomes. Reporting directly to the Engineering Director, you will manage the engineering component of the business, either as career progression or from commencement depending on skills and experience.

You will bring along the following skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a civil design engineer having completed designs for roadworks, and drainage design in land development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Experience with civil design software and CAD software.
  • Having Chartered status CPENG is an advantage.
